Setting up SSO with ISAMS

ISAMS SSO can be enabled independently for staff, parents and students.  In order to set it up, ISAMS will provide a secret for each access type - staff, parents and students - which you will need to provide to SchoolsBuddy.

Please email  support@isams.com with the following details:

1. The preferred client_id:

   schoolsbuddy.isams	for Staff
   schoolsbuddy.pportal	for Parents
   schoolsbuddy.sportal	for Students

2. The URL a user should be redirected to after successful authentication; SchoolsBuddy will confirm the correct address on request to help@schoolsbuddy.com
   Your {{ssoname}} will be appended 
   

   For Schools in EMEA:	https://accounts1.schoolsbuddy.net/signin-isams-{{ssoname}}1/2/3
   For Schools in Asia:	https://accounts2.schoolsbuddy.net/signin-isams-{{ssoname}}1/2/3
   For Schools in US:	https://accounts3.schoolsbuddy.net/signin-isams-{{ssoname}}1/2/3

3. The URL a user should be redirected to after logout; this is a generic log in page for the appropriate region:

   For Schools in EMEA:	https://accounts1.schoolsbuddy.net/
   For Schools in Asia:	https://accounts2.schoolsbuddy.net/
   For Schools in US:	https://accounts3.schoolsbuddy.net/

4. The scopes your application requires access to;
   Openid Email

5. The login screens you wish your application to use;
   Parent Portal / Student Portal / iSAMS / All

For example, for my school, SchoolsBuddy School UK sbsuk.schoolsbuddy.net is on the EMEA server - https://accounts1.schoolsbuddy.net

Dear ISAMS team,

Our school would like to enable SSO for the SchoolsBuddy application.  We would like users of SchoolsBuddy to be authenticated by their ISAMS credentials.  Please send us the secrets for these Client IDs and whitelist the below URLs:

Once ISAMS have generated the client secrets, please submit them to SchoolsBuddy using the form linked here.  We will complete the configuration and let you know when it is available to check.
