Linking your SchoolsBuddy calendar to Google Calendars

To link your SchoolsBuddy calendar to Google Calendar, please follow the steps below:

1. Click on Diary
   
2. Click on Share
3. And a pop-up box will appear on screen like the one shown in the image below. You must click on the 'Copy to clipboard' button to copy the iCal link. When the linked has been copied, click the 'OK' button.
   

   

4. Log into Google and select the Calendar app.
5. Click the '+' symbol located next to the Other calendars option.
6. When selected, a drop-down selection bar will appear. Select the From URL option.
   
7. Paste the link that was copied from SchoolsBuddy into the URL of calendar box and click the blue Add Calendar tab. 

   

8. The SchoolsBuddy calendar will now be added to your Google calendar and the confirmed events within SchoolsBuddy will show within your Google calendar.

⚠️ Important Notice About Google and Outlook Calendars

Please note: If you are using the SchoolsBuddy iCal link to sync events with Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, updates may not appear immediately.

These platforms do not refresh iCal feeds in real-time, and it can take up to 24 hours (or longer) for changes to sync. This delay is due to limitations in Google and Microsoft’s systems, not SchoolsBuddy. For the most reliable syncing experience, we recommend checking your SchoolsBuddy 2.0 App.
