The End-of-year processing settings allow administrators to pause specific data updates coming from iSAMS during academic year rollovers or transitional periods.
While an "Ignore" toggle is enabled, student records retain their current values in SchoolsBuddy exactly as they are today. Incoming updates for that record type will be ignored until your organisation is ready to apply the changes and you turn the toggle back off.
⚠️ Important Timing Requirement:
These toggles must be enabled BEFORE iSAMS rollover occurs. If updated data has already synced into SchoolsBuddy, enabling the toggles after the fact will not revert or erase those changes.
Available Toggle Settings
Ignore Form changes: Keeps students in their current Form(Registration Group/Homeroom) in SchoolsBuddy. New Form updates from iSAMS will not be applied while this toggle is On.
Ignore House changes: Keeps students in their current House in SchoolsBuddy. New House updates from iSAMS will not be applied while this toggle is On.
Ignore Subject changes: Keeps students in their current subject classes in SchoolsBuddy. New subject class updates from iSAMS will not be applied while this toggle is On.
Ignore Year changes: Keeps students in their current Year Group in SchoolsBuddy. New Year Group updates from iSAMS will not be applied while this toggle is On.
How to Save and Apply Changes
Log in to SchoolsBuddy as a Super Admin.
- Navigate to Settings
- Getting Started > Data Integration
Scroll down to the End-of-year processing section.
Adjust Toggles: Switch the desired record type toggles to On or Off depending on whether you want to hold or accept updates from iSAMS.
Save Settings: Click the dark purple Save changes button in the bottom right corner to apply your configuration.
