Linking a single sign-on account to SchoolsBuddy using a different email address

For schools whose parents, students or staff want to use single sign-on with an email address that is not in the school's MIS.

If users want to sign in with an email address that differs from the one stored in your MIS, they can link their accounts themselves in their profile.

Enable the provider (admin)

Enable the relevant single sign-on provider on your account's home page. For example, a school might enable Microsoft Office 365 and Google single sign-on.

  1. Log in and select My Account from the profile icon.

  2. Select Single Sign-On to see the providers available to your school, then select Link Account.

  3. You are redirected to log in to Google (or another provider). Use your own email address.

  4. Select the email address you want to use. After a few seconds you return to SchoolsBuddy, which shows the account is linked.

From now on, on your school's homepage, select the Google button to log in straight away if you are already signed in to Google. If not, enter your Google login details.
