Once the allocation is done, head over to the Student Allocation Overview tab to get a quick summary of where students have been placed. It’s the place to double-check everything and make any final tweaks before generating the container and letting the parents know.
-
In the selected container, click on Student Allocation Overview.
- Name: Name of the student
- Confirm: Who completed the activity selections. A red triangle (🔺) means it was completed by a staff member.
- Alloc'd: How many activities the student has been allocated.
- >1?: Whether a student has been allocated more than one activity on the same day
-
Score:The system assigns each student a score based on their allocation results — the lower the score, the better.
A score of 1 means they received all their top choices; a score of 6 means they weren’t allocated to anything they selected. -
Daily Count:
-
Number – The preference level the student was allocated to for that day.
-
Red Triangle – Indicates the student made selections for that day but wasn’t allocated to any activity.
-
-
To view more details about a student's allocations and requested selections, click on their name. You'll be able to see both their allocated and non-allocated activities on the right-hand side.
- To remove them from their allocated groups/activities, click on the red minus symbol
to remove them from that group/activity.
- To allocate a student to additional groups/activities that they had selected, click the green plus symbol
to add them to the group/activity.
If you are happy with all the allocations made, the next step is to generate events (creating your registers).
⚠️ Important Note:
- You don’t need to make any adjustments here unless you want to. If a student gets a score of 6, it likely means there’s nothing more that can be done for them. This page is just for you to make tweaks if needed, such as if you’re happy to oversubscribe an activity and accept more students.
- We recommend checking the >1? column by clicking the sorting icon. This helps you spot any clashes, which usually occur when a staff member manually allocates a student who already has another activity scheduled for the same day.
