Make sure you receive messages from school

SchoolsBuddy sends messages by app notification and email, for example when you book an activity or your child is marked absent. If they are not reaching you, these checks usually fix it.

On your phone

  1. Update the appInstall the latest SchoolsBuddy app from the App Store or Google Play. Families in China can download the Android app directly.
  2. Allow notificationsOpen your phone settings, find SchoolsBuddy and make sure notifications are switched on.
  3. Stay signed inNotifications only reach phones that are signed in. Open the app and check you are signed in with the right account.
  4. Check Focus or Do Not DisturbThese modes can hide notifications from the app.

In your email

  1. Check spam and junkAutomated emails can be filtered. Mark them as not spam.
  2. Check the address the school hasAsk the school to confirm which email address is linked to your account.
📌 Good to know

Some messages are only sent by email. For example, booking confirmations and allocation results are emails.

💡 Tip

If a partner or carer should also receive messages, ask the school to link their account to your child.
