Incomplete Self-Registrations can potentially be an issue within ClubsBuddy. If a Parent has only completed only the first half of the Self-Registration process, the email address affiliated with that user will be stored into the ClubsBuddy system. However, if the second half of the process (The child registration screen) is not completed, there will be no link between the Parent and the child (Club/Organisation Member). Due to this incomplete self-registration the new user will not:
- Be able to log in
- Re-create a new user (as email address is already in use)
The parent is added to the database but does not appear in your ClubsBuddy UI because they are not linked to a child. This means that their registration is not fully completed and they will not be able to sign up for anything.
In order for accounts to show in the site, users have to complete the Adult Registration form and the Child Registration form.
To rectify this, providing the parent has completed their registration form, the parent will be able to log back in to your ClubsBuddy site with their registered email address and they will be taken straight to the Child Registration form automatically. If they are taken to their homepage, then they will need to log out and log back in again where they will be taken to the Child Registration Form.
