Clone container is a quick way to set up your activities for next term, using the groups and events you created for this term. This can be used for PTC, Wraparound Care, School Trips, Holiday Camps, etc)Â
For the PTC, cloning the container is recommended only if the conferences/meetings are scheduled on the same weekdays as in the previous term. For instance, if the meetings took place on Thursday and Friday last term, and are also scheduled for Thursday and Friday this term, cloning the container would be appropriate.
Please see the steps below to clone an Instant Book container as an example:
- Start in the Activities & Clubs module. Select the Instant Book tab
- Find the original container and click the Clone button.
- A pop up window appears and is auto-populated with default information. Check and amend the details, make sure the Sign Up Title, Activities Start/End Date, etc are updated.
- Click Clone. A confirmation message appears. Click OK to see the new container and groups beneath.
- If you would like to make any changes to your container you can edit the details under Groups (availability, lead staff organiser etc.) or Create Events (prices, times etc.). If not, skip straight to the Block Dates tab and check the block dates have been set for your organisation. Click here to see how to add or change your organisation's block dates.
- Lastly, click on on Publish Events to review and confirm everything that has been copied across. You can see the number of events to be published (1). You can choose to publish all the events on the page or only select some to be published (2). Once you have made the selections you are ready to publish.
- At the bottom of the page check the box and click Publish. Then confirm once more by pressing Publish in the pop up warning message.
- Wait a few minutes while events are generated, then you will be able to check these under View events/Bookings.
