Follow the steps below to enter match results and complete a match report for a sporting fixture.
Step 1: Access the Sports section
Click Sports from the main menu.
Select the required sport.
Locate the relevant fixture and select Results / Report.
Click Edit results for the fixture.
Step 2: Enter match details
From the Edit results screen, you can enter or select the following information:
Score
Enter the final score of the fixture.
(The scoring format depends on the sport and may vary.)Result
Select whether the fixture was a Win, Loss, or Draw.Match information
Enter any required match details or a short match summary.Player of the Match
Select the Player of the Match by ticking the box next to the pupil’s name.Goals scored
Enter the number of goals scored by each player (where applicable).Goal assists
Enter the number of assists for each player (where applicable).Player rating
Optionally, assign each player a match rating between 1 and 10.
Step 3: Save and publish
Once all required information has been entered, click Save.
To make the results visible to parents, ensure the match report is published/sent.
Creating a Match Report
Follow Step 1: Access the Sports section outlined at the top of this help guide.
Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will find the Match Report section. You can enter your match report directly into the text box.In addition to the written match report, you can choose to include the following details:
Group
Result
Player of the Match
Goals
Goal assists
Player rating
To include any of these items, tick the toggle box next to the relevant option.
3. Once you have completed the match report, click Save as Draft to keep it unpublished, or click the green Save & Publish button to send the match report to parents and staff.
After clicking Save & Publish, a pop-up window will appear where you can:
Select the required message type
Edit the email subject, if needed
Choose whether to send a copy to team staff
Click Publish to proceed
4. Parents/staff will receive an email notification containing the match report.
They will also be able to view the Match Report in the SchoolsBuddy Message Centre. An example email notification is shown in the image below.
