Transport Timetable Configuration
This is where everything comes together: transportation methods and routes are linked to specific time slots in the timetable calendar. When you add a timetable configuration, you can select the schedule for each bus, specifying the day and time. Additionally, you can set the bus monitor and the bus capacity here.
- In Config Settings, click on the Timetables tab
-
Click on the 'Add' button
- Select the 'Transport Method'
- Select 'Time Slot'
- The 'Direction' will be auto-filled
- Select the 'Timetable' you want to add
- 'Days On this Timetable' will default to your overall Operating Days but can be amended for each transport timetable.
- 'Is Active' is defaulted on. If you do not want to publish the timetable yet you can deactivate it (Although if you are preparing your next timetable calendar you should not need to do this as it won't begin until the allotted dates).
- Click the Next button
After clicking 'Next', you will be able to 'Edit' the Transport Timetable Configuration Routes. - Select Include on the routes to be run for this transport type and time slot.
- Add the Bus number / ID for each route
- You can also add in a Bus Monitor (the staff member who will take the register for this bus & time)
- Add the bus capacity to prevent it from being overfilled
- Click the 'Save' button to complete
If you have multiple buses on the same route to increase your capacity you can also use the clone feature to add more.Â
A. In Timetable Configuration, click on 'Routes' to clone a bus on the same route
B. Click the 'Clone' button on the Route you want to clone
C. A pop-up will appear and click 'Yes' to confirm you would like to clone that Transport Route for that Time Slot
D. Enter the Bus number / ID for the Timetable Configuration
E. Click the 'OK' button
F. Click the 'Confirm' button if you're happy with the cloned route
Once you have cloned the route you will see it is coloured grey as it is not automatically included - select Include to add it to the configuration and click Save.
Checkpoint: Once you complete this step, you will be prepared to review your configuration with the SchoolsBuddy training team. Please schedule a training session to discuss your set up and prepare for mass student assignment or collecting transportation preferences from parents via sign-up.
